A report from a group tea ceremony at our Esaka classroom
On 10 February 2026, we welcomed a corporate group from Singapore to our classroom in Esaka. About 20 to 30 guests joined, and we set the long tables so that everyone could whisk matcha at the same time.
First, a demonstration
We started at the tea table with the red cloth. Our teacher prepared a bowl of matcha step by step and explained the meaning behind each movement.
Then everyone whisks
Each guest had their own bowl and whisk. After a little practice, the foam started to rise, and the room filled with the sound of whisking and plenty of laughter.
Our classroom is a few minutes' walk from Esaka Station, just a short ride from Umeda and Shin-Osaka, so it is an easy stop for groups staying in central Osaka.
